Jennifer Kaye Mills passed away on September 23, 2016 after a courageous battle against cancer.

Jennifer graduated from the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor of Arts in Education and a Master of Arts in School Counseling. She encouraged school, home, and community support for students as a school counselor at Camp Taylor Elementary and a member of Highview Baptist Church. Jennifer was a person with a heart-warming smile who enjoyed many trips with her loved ones and had a genuine passion for reading.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Jeff Lykins.

Jennifer is survived by her husband, Tim; parents, Clay Lykins and Velma Lykins; sons, Clayton Carson and Tyler Mills; step-sons, Chris Mills and Derek Mills; sister in-law, Mary Beth Lykins; and nephew, Brandon.

"Nina" will be missed by Sierra, Zachary, Chris-James, and Katie Mills.

Visitation is Tuesday, September 27, 2016 from 3 PM to 8 PM and Wednesday, September 28, 2016 from 10 AM until the time of service at Arch L. Heady Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Rd.

A celebration of Jennifer's life will be held on Wednesday at 12 PM at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest at Resthaven Memorial Park.
